Music project to premiere in Paris
Amanda Fessant’s latest CD “Release” to premiere Saturday
The Paris community has been invited to witness an extraordinary event which
involves a talented musical artist living right here in Paris, Illinois.
The event is the premiere of Amanda Fessant’s latest CD project titled “Release”
and will take place at 7 pm Saturday in the Family Life Center of the Lake Ridge
The CD was produced by Nashville’s award-winning producer, Robert Jason, and
includes a great collection of songs that take the listener somewhere and make
them feel something.
The release for Fessant’s newest CD is just one of the many exciting things
happening to the young artist.
Most recently she was voted in the top 10 artists nominated for the “Female
Horizon Award” and in the top 10 for “Female Artist” in the semi-finals of the
Christian Country Music segment of the Fan Appreciation Awards to be held in
Darinenger, Texas in late May.
Another accolade Fessant recently received was a special mention in the “Artist
to Watch in 2007” section of Power Source Magazine’s December 2006, January 2007
Excited and thrilled were the words Fessant used to described the feelings she
had when she was notified she had when she was notified she ha been one of the
artist’s selected by a survey of music industry professionals as one of the
“artists to watch.”
According to Fessant, she was asked recently to share her dreams and desires for
2007 in a small article and to submit the information to the magazine. In the
article the artist expresses much anticipation with the release of her new CD.
“This project has been one of my most transparent and heartfelt endeavors as I
wrote seven of the songs,” she said. “I’m looking forward to a busy year and to
traveling. I dream one day of hearing my own song on the Power Source Top 20,
seeing a No. 1 on the charts and maybe even a nomination for an ICM Music
“I am waiting to see what God is going to do, where He is going to send me and
ask Him to always use my music for His Kingdom! I know all of us have dreams we
would like to see come true but what I hold onto the most is Proverbs:16:3
‘Commit everything to the lord and he will make your way successful.’”
Success is something that Fessant experienced at a young age. She started her
music career in 1994 with the release of “A Baby’s Cry” to Contemporary
Christian radio. She sang in that genre for many years before moving in the
direction of Christian Country music which is exactly where her new CD “Release”
“This new project (Release) is to glorify the Lord and there are many songs that
are to honor several wonderful people,” Fessant explained.
A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
